Fans of esports can look forward to over 1,000 esports events happening in 2024 alone for PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings.
Level Infinite has committed to turn up the tournament heat for the leading esports titles as part of a broader three-year agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Esports World Cup Foundation.
The partnership will see PUBG MOBILE unveiling its new co-branded world cup event with the Esports World Cup, carrying a US$3 million prize pool.

That’s joined by the Honor of Kings’ midseason invitational event also happening at the Esports World Cup with an equal sized bounty. The August event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will pit 12 teams against each other, and follows the ongoing tournament happening in Turkey this week with eight teams duking it out to advance to the next round. Everything culminates in the grand finals later this year.
PUBG MOBILE is developed by Tencent Games’ Lightspeed Studios and Krafton Inc. Honor of Kings is the world’s most-played mobile MOBA with 100 million daily players and comes from TiMi Studio Group.
Saudi Arabia’s crown prince and prime minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, announced the country’s plans for the Esports World Cup in October last year. The event is part of the country’s ambitious commitment toward developing the esports and gaming pillars of its economy.

The eight week-long event touts a unique cross-game setup that will pit top athletes from different game titles against each other. It’s being organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, a non-profit which aims to develop the esports and gaming sectors.
“At the Esports World Cup Foundation, one of our core missions is to build a sustainable global esports infrastructure so fans can enjoy our sport for generations to come,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO, Esports World Cup Foundation.
“Our partnership with Level Infinite directly supports that mission, adding two of the most-played games to the Esports World Cup program for players and fans across the globe.”
