DayZ hits 500,000 daily players

The survival genre has evolved significantly since DayZ first introduced players to its unforgiving post-apocalyptic world. Now, a decade later, Bohemia Interactive is pleased to share that the DayZ continues to grow in strength, with the game reaching its highest player count ever at 500,000 daily players across all platforms.

We crossed this milestone on Oct. 20. Here are the numbers by platform:

  • Steam: 235,618 daily players (peaking at 79,000 concurrent)
  • PlayStation: 113,897 daily players (peaking at 33,000 concurrent)
  • Xbox: 152,037 daily players (peaking at 36,000 concurrent)

This record-breaking day coincided with the release of our latest expansion, DayZ Frostline, which has resonated strongly with both new and veteran players. In its first week, Frostline sold over 300,000 copies.

Frostline introduced players to its challenging winter landscape and demonstrated the continued appeal of authentic survival experiences.

“This milestone belongs to our community,” said Scott Bowen, DayZ Brand Manager. “From our day-one survivors to those just joining us, every player has contributed to making DayZ what it is today. Your feedback, stories, and dedication have shaped this game into something truly special.”

As DayZ continues to grow, we remain focused on delivering the intense, authentic survival experience that defined the genre a decade ago. Whether you’re a veteran survivor or considering your first spawn, the community welcomes you to join this next chapter in DayZ‘s story.

DayZ is available now on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. The Frostline expansion can be purchased separately on all platforms. See you in Chernarus.
