Now in preview on Xbox, the massively multiplayer online racing game Stampede: Racing Royale is a hotly awaited title coming to other platforms.
Featuring 60 players battling in a high-stakes, three-round elimination format, Stampede delivers a heart-pounding Battle Royale-style racing experience.
Paul Hollywood, Development Director, spoke to us on the sidelines at Summer Game Fest Play Days 2024 on the development journey so far:
The Stampede: Racing Royale team has been hard at work enhancing the game with engaging new metagame content. Building on the core experience, the game is introducing a range of limited-time events and stylish cosmetics to keep players continuously invested.
While the accessibility for casual players allows anyone to pick up and play, the skills required to master the games keep longer term invested players hooked in as well.
The team has created new events and challenges for players to partake in. Extra content also includes various cosmetics to pimp up players’ karts and dress up their characters, and changing tracks to keep players engaged.
The game’s social and community aspects are another key highlight. With its large number of online players in a game, players are able to enjoy the blend of high-speed racing with interactive social game play.
