The time has finally arrived for aspiring rulers to stake their claim for Arrakis, as the new Conquest update is now live for Shiro Games and Funcom’s Dune: Spice Wars. Designed to be highly replayable, challenging and progression-driven, Conquest mode will be the closest thing to a campaign that players have been requesting since the launch of the 4X strategy title.
Conquest in Dune: Spice Wars
The mode will see players take control of one of three major houses – Atreides, Harkonnen, or Corrino – and progress through a series of unique scenarios and situations to test their mastery of every mechanic in the game. Be it political manoeuvring, military might, or savvy trading with the Landsraad, Conquest mode will push players to the limit.
To aid them in this endeavor, each house can be modified with different perks to enhance a particular way to play, allowing for more flexible approaches to completing the different objectives being set. Expect to sink around 10 hours of playtime for each run, with no run ever being alike.
The addition of Conquest mode is the fourth major update for Dune: Spice Wars since its launch back in April 2022. Other than the new mode that will keep players busy, there are plenty of bug fixes, balance changes, and other meaningful tweaks to enhance the overall experience in all modes.
Shiro Games has also committed to supporting Conquest mode in Dune: Spice Wars with more missions, environments, and scenarios, among other additions in the future, which only bodes well for the community that continues to make Arrakis their home for the foreseeable future.
