Honor of Kings unveils major update: New hero, battlefield, roguelite mode

Honor of Kings is getting its biggest update yet. Today, fans of the world’s most-played MOBA have a trove of new content to sink their teeth into including a new hero, story chapter, battlefield, and even a roguelite mode.

Introducing new support hero Dyadia

Dyadia is a unique addition to the support roster. Her key ability, “Bitter Farewell,” marks enemies to deal magic damage and allows her to loot gold over time. This mechanic enables her to level up more quickly and unlock more abilities, potentially shifting the dynamics of team fights.

Dyadia can also assist allies with “Heartlink,” which restores health, increases movement speed, and provides additional buffs.

PvE roguelite for a limited time

In a move that showcases the game’s versatility, Honor of Kings is introducing Mechcraft Veteran, a limited-time roguelite mode available until Oct. 22.

This PvE experience allows players to go solo or form teams of up to three to face off against four distinct monsters across 25 levels. For each 20-minute encounter, players will get to select from seven heroes and work on unique builds with 14 weapon types and 160 equipment items.

A new season of fresh content and challenges

The arrival of the Architect of Fate season marks the next milestone for Honor of Kings. Players can look forward to a dynamic experience with a new battlefield introduced each month.

October kicks off with Spirit of the Gorge, which introduces the Spirit Banish hero skill and an enhancement of the Jungle Vision Spirit called Vision Spirit, evolving from the previous Jungle Vision Spirit. The new season also brings cosmetic updates, including a stunning Misty Orison skin for Guiguzi.

Funtimes with Friday Frenzy

Starting Sept. 27 and running each Friday, Friday Frenzy is a chance for players to win extra rewards.

Gamers can win exclusive skins by securing victories in pre-made team ranked matches, with the coveted Friday Sprite and Koi rewards up for grabs. The event also introduces special privileges for pre-made ranked matches, including a 24-hour Double Star Card and a safety net for the first loss.

Honor of Kings is significantly boosting the Bravery Points system. Players participating in pre-made ranked matches have the chance to earn up to 10 times the usual Bravery Points, adding an extra layer of excitement to team play.

And every Friday, 100 selected skins (including premium skins) and their corresponding heroes will be available for free. More skins will also be available at a 40 percent discount, with new options added weekly.
