NIKKE, Dune: Awakening, Exoborne: Highlights from Level Infinite’s Tokyo Game Show 2024

One of the industry’s biggest gaming shows just closed over the weekend. From Sept. 26 – 29, hundreds of thousands of gamers thronged the expansive halls of Makuhari Messe to attend Tokyo Game Show 2024.

Level Infinite was there with an eye-catching 441-square-meter space showing off some of our titles. At the booth, nearly 20,000 gamers were treated to exclusive first-look trailers, demos, stage sessions with devs, and meet-and-greets with cosplayers.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE was larger than life

The SHIFT UP title dominated the Level Infinite booth with its larger-than-life presence. A life-size 10-round gacha machine served as the centerpiece, drawing crowds eager to test their luck and interact with cosplayers.

Fans could also explore a life-sized replica of the commander’s room, take photos with official NIKKE cosplayers, and admire a wall of fan art.

The excitement peaked with appearances by SHIFT UP president Hyungtae Kim, game director Hyunseok Yu, and voice actors M.A.O. and Yoko Hikasa (the voices of Snow White and Neve, respectively).

Enter Dune: Awakening

Nearby, Dune: Awakening offered a cinematic preview of the latest game footage in a cozy theater setting, whisking viewers away to the desert landscape of Arrakis. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience the game’s first-ever hands-on demo in Japan.

Funcom global senior PR manager Natascha Röösli provided insights into the game’s development, emphasizing the collaboration with Legendary Pictures and the game’s roots in Frank Herbert’s novels.

All aboard the Exoborne bus

Exoborne’s life-size yellow school bus was a popular photo spot. Set among rubble and weeds, it conjured the post-apocalyptic world that the extraction shooter is set in. The bus also served as a screening room for fans, allowing them to check out Exoborne’s latest trailer featuring one of its central gameplay mechanics, its Exo-Rigs.

Watch our interview with Sharkmob co-founder explaining how Exo-Rig choice will affect gameplay:

Throughout the event, Level Infinite’s presence at Tokyo Game Show 2024 reinforced its commitment to connecting with players in Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region, setting the stage for an exciting line-up of titles from the publisher.
