NIKKE ties up with iconic anime series Evangelion again

Following the success of their first partnership last summer, this new collaboration brings fresh content and the return of fan-favorite characters.

Level Infinite announced today that GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, the sci-fi RPG shooter developed and published by South Korean studio SHIFT UP, is launching its second collaboration with the legendary anime franchise Evangelion on Feb. 20.

What to expect in the crossover

The crossover features a special storyline set in the Evangelion universe and introduces three new characters:

  • Asuka: WILLE
  • Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name)
  • Sakura (Toji’s sister)

Due to popular demand, characters from the previous collaboration will also return, giving players another opportunity to add Asuka Shikinami Langley, Rei Ayanami, and Mari Makinami Illustrious to their teams.

The event includes exclusive character outfits (with some available for free), a new 3D event map, and a special mini-game.

A new trailer released today showcases the collaboration’s epic scale, featuring a dramatic battle at the Red Sea. The footage highlights intense combat sequences between Evangelion Unit Two, Evangelion Mark.09, and the Ark’s battleship Admire as they face off against a powerful enemy known as the Gatekeeper.

Two powerhouse franchises unite

NEON GENESIS EVANGELION first aired in 1995 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The series was reimagined in 2007 as REBUILD OF EVANGELION under director Hideaki Anno’s supervision, releasing three successful films that attracted a new generation of fans.

The saga concluded with EVANGELION: 3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME, which drew over 6.7 million viewers.

Since its launch, GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE has amassed over 45 million downloads globally, earning praise for its blend of story-driven gameplay, advanced animated illustrations, and dynamic combat system. The game is part of Level Infinite’s growing portfolio of innovative titles.

Players can download NIKKE now on iOS App Store, Google Play, and Windows PC. Visit nikke-en.com for more.
