TennoCon 2024 was the biggest one yet

TennoCon, the annual Warframe convention, reached new heights this year with its largest-ever attendance. Hosted in London Ontario, Canada—the hometown of Warframe-maker Digital Extremes—the event welcomed 3,000 in-person attendees, many who traveled for hours (some days) to be there.

With hundreds of thousands more tuning in via the July 20 livestream, the convention’s 9th year was a blazing success.

Warframe is a free-to-play third-person shooter online game that has captivated players worldwide. The game is now in its 11th year, and continues to receive big content updates. Fans at TennoCon were excited to learn more about the next chapter, Warframe: 1999, set to drop later in winter.

The cast of 1999 was also at the show to meet and greet fans. (Our interview with Ben Starr, Alpha Takahashi, Nick Apostolides, and Gianni Matragrano is coming!)

Among the many exhibits at TennoCon 2024 were incredible lifelike replicas of in-game characters, complete with their weapons and accessories. The voice of Aoi, Alpha Takahashi, introduced us to one of the statues of Arthur, complete with his spinning sword and the Atomicycle, his motorbike.

Digital Extremes also revealed more about their highly anticipated new game, Soulframe. The title will transport players to an entirely new fantasy universe, promising a captivating and immersive experience. At TennoCon 2024, the Soulframe-inspired Zen Room provided a tranquil space dedicated to the title, offering a peaceful respite from the bustling convention activities.

And what’s a convention without merch? We saw an accessory tie-up with Razer, a clothing line with Champion, and the exclusive Excalibur jacket—inspired by the first Warframe.

TennoCon 2024 was a spectacular experience, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead for Warframe fans.
