The highly anticipated free expansion for V Rising, Secrets of Gloomrot, has now been dated by Stunlock Studios. Aspiring vampires will be able to sink their teeth into the new content this coming May 17 as part of the one-year anniversary celebrations for the breakthrough title.
In the massive content update, players can look forward to exploring Gloomrot, a brand new biome that houses two unique areas that have been twisted in the pursuit of cruel science. And just like in the base game, hunting down the blood of the brilliantly insane will see vampires harnessing the power of lightning and entering a new age of technology in Secrets of Gloomrot.
In addition, Stunlock will be delivering more options for players on the castle-building front, including the often-requested construction of multiple floors, castle territory claiming, and even more ways to customize one’s domain. Combat in V Rising will also have new life breathed into it, with new weapon types, a new spell school, and new possibilities with players modifying their spells to their liking with the jewel system.
While Secrets of Gloomrot introduces the new biome, Vardoran is not spared from improvement either. The base world is getting revamped with new points of interest to visit, visual updates, new items, and enemy types, and a total of 13 additional bosses will descend upon the lands for players to hunt down and draw knowledge from.
