Ahead of its full release on Nov. 30, Fatshark has unleashed the terror in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide early as part of the pre-order beta. This will see players who have previously pre-ordered the game get the opportunity to enter the hive city of Tertium ahead of the rest of the world.
As part of the Warhammer 40,000: Darktide pre-order beta, players can choose from four missions across four different zones, with more missions set to be added throughout the period. At the same time, Fatshark will be looking to run interesting in-game events/conditions to challenge players in new and exciting ways, spicing things up and keeping even the most prepared players on their toes.
This ramp-up also allows for fine-tuning and scaling heading into a full release while offering players regular content. However, the in-game store will be closed until the launch of the full game at the end of November. Progress made during the pre-order beta of Warhammer: 40,000: Darktide will be carried over, but Fatshark has caveated that there might be unforeseen issues that may not make this move possible. The high-level rundown is as follows:
WEEK ONE (November 17 – 20)
- Full access to the game hub and mission board.
- 4 changing missions across 4 zones
- We will regularly run in-game events (Conditions), namely Power Supply Interruption and Ventilation Purge. We don’t want to spoil them too much. We encourage you to experience them for yourself 🙂
WEEK TWO (November 21 – 27)
- Up to 8 changing missions across 4 zones
- In-Game Events, other surprise additions we do not want to spoil right now
WEEK 3 (November 28 to 30)
- Up to 10 changing missions across 4 zones
- Downtime to get the game ready for wide release: Tuesday, Nov 29, 202219:00 UTC
NOVEMBER 30 (LAUNCH)
- 13 missions across 5 zones
- 1 New Zone (We do not want to share its name yet)
- New Conditions (In-Game Events)
“Running this Pre-Order Beta is our way to actively address common issues games experience at launch and also a ‘Thank You’ to our most committed fans,” said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. “We know it’s been a long wait, but Darktide is finally just around the corner.”
