The world’s largest video gaming event, Gamescom, is nearly here. Held every year in Cologne, Germany, Gamescom is expected to welcome hundreds of thousands of attendees, and exhibitors from nearly 100 countries across the globe.
And we’ve pulled out all the stops for this year’s special showcase video. With the latest in movie magic, we’ve put Joel Bylos, Funcom‘s chief creative officer in a sandy cave on Dune: Awakening‘s Planet Arrakis, and Sharkmob creative director Petter Mannerfelt within Exoborne‘s apocalyptic wasteland.
The showcase will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube on Aug 21 at this time:

The showcase is hosted by gaming presenter and streamer Leah Alexandra, and Tim Downie, who fans of Baldur’s Gate III might recognize as the voice of wizard Gale, or from the movie Paddington. With the technology of virtual production, viewers will follow the hosts through the Level Infinite portal connecting them to different game realms.
